Membership & Benefits
SFC membership is offered on an annual basis. Members enjoy exclusive access to our state-of-the-art club facilities seven days a week for open fencing, discounts on packages of group and private lessons, open bouting – no floor fee, family membership discounts, college alumni membership discounts, and camp discounts.
SFC’s annual membership begins in mid-August and ends late-June, to coincide with the USA fencing season. Members are required to sign a liability waiver and agree to SFC’s Code of Conduct.
SFC members who wish to participate in club programs and local, regional, and national competitions must also be active members of USA Fencing at the competitive or non-competitive level. Apply to USA Fencing here.

Tomorrow's Champions

Enrollment: Trial lesson required
A beginner-friendly class for young fencers ages 7–11. Students develop foundational fencing skills — footwork, bladework, and basic tactics — while building competition readiness and a love for the sport. Open to all experience levels, from first-time fencers to those looking to sharpen their basics. This is the starting point for all younger students at SFC.
Monday Knights & Wednesday Knights
Monday & Wednesday · 6:30–8:00 PM · Ages 12–15 · Coach Maksim
Enrollment: Coach recommendation + 1.5 years fencing experience with competition experience required
A competitive class for intermediate to advanced youth fencers ages 12–15. Students must have at least 1.5 years of fencing experience and active competition experience to enroll. Classes focus on competition readiness, tactical development, and technical refinement to prepare students for tournament-level performance.
Recreational Warriors

Enrollment: Trial lesson required
A welcoming class for new and recreational fencers ages 13–17 who want to learn and enjoy the sport without a competitive requirement. Students build a strong foundation of technique, footwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and supportive environment. The ideal starting point for teenagers new to fencing or those fencing for enjoyment.
Combined Warriors
Thursday · 4:30–6:00 PM · Ages 7–15 · Coach Samet
Enrollment: Regular attendance in Tomorrow’s Champions (Mon & Wed) or Recreational Warriors required
Combined Warriors is a shared training session that brings together students from the Tomorrow’s Champions and Recreational Warriors programs. Younger fencers ages 7–11 from Tomorrow’s Champions train alongside recreational fencers ages 13–15 from Recreational Warriors, creating a dynamic mixed-age group environment. Students work at their own level while benefiting from the energy of a broader group. Tomorrow’s Champions students may attend only if they are regularly participating in both the Monday and Wednesday Tomorrow’s Champions classes. This class is an addition to — not a replacement for — a student’s core weekly sessions.
Combined Champions
Friday · 4:30–6:00 PM · Ages 7–15 · Coach Samet
Enrollment: Regular attendance in both Monday & Wednesday Tomorrow’s Champions or Monday & Wednesday Knights required
Combined Champions is a high-energy shared session bringing together students from the Tomorrow’s Champions and Monday and Wednesday Knights programs. Youth fencers ages 7–11 from Tomorrow’s Champions train alongside competitive fencers ages 12–15 from the Knights classes, creating a cross-level training environment focused on technique and competitive development. Students from Tomorrow’s Champions are eligible only if they regularly attend both the Monday and Wednesday Tomorrow’s Champions classes. Knights students are eligible only if they regularly attend both the Monday and Wednesday Knights classes. This class is an addition to — not a replacement for — a student’s core weekly schedule.
Open Champions League
Friday · 6:30–8:00 PM · Ages 12+ · Coach Hamdy
Enrollment: Regular attendance in Monday & Wednesday Knights or Champions League required
Open Champions League is an elite combined session for students from the Monday and Wednesday Knights programs and the Champions League. This class brings together competitive fencers ages 12 and older at an advanced level, focused on high-level tactical training, strip work, and competition preparation. Knights students are eligible only if they regularly attend both Monday and Wednesday Knights classes. Champions League students are eligible only if they are regularly attending at least one of their core Champions League sessions that week. This class is an addition to — not a replacement for — a student’s core weekly schedule.
Champions League

Enrollment: Rated fencer (A, B, or C) · Coach recommendation required
An elite class for rated competitive fencers ages 14 and older. Students must hold a current USA Fencing rating of A, B, or C and have a coach recommendation to enroll. Classes focus on high-level competition preparation, advanced tactical development, and technical refinement to perform at the highest levels of tournament fencing.
Young Musketeers
Saturday & Sunday · 10:00–11:30 AM · Ages 5–9 · Coach Maksim (Sat) · Coach Zaheer (Sun)
Enrollment: Trial lesson required
A fun and energetic introduction to fencing for young athletes ages 5–9. Through games, drills, and age-appropriate activities, students develop athletic coordination, body awareness, and a love for the sport — all while learning the basics of fencing in a positive and encouraging environment. No prior experience required. The ideal starting point for SFC’s youngest students.
Competition Ready
Saturday · 12:00–1:30 PM · Ages 9–13 · Coach Achiko
Enrollment: Trial lesson or Coach recommendation required
A competition-focused class for fencers ages 9–13 looking to level up their technique and performance. Open to students across the age range — whether coming from the Young Musketeers program or already training in Tomorrow’s Champions. This class bridges recreational and competitive fencing, building the skills and competitive mindset needed to start or improve tournament performance.
Weekend Warriors
Sunday · 12:00–1:30 PM · Ages 10+ · Coach Zaheer
Enrollment: Trial lesson + past fencing experience required
A combined weekend class for fencers ages 10 and older who have some prior fencing experience. Drawing from the youth and recreational programs, Weekend Warriors reinforces technical skills and tactical awareness in a supportive group setting. A great option for students who train primarily on weekends or are looking to supplement their weekday classes.
Open Elite
Saturday · 2:00–3:30 PM · Ages 11+ · Coach Hamdy
Enrollment: Experienced competitive fencer with competition experience required
An open elite training session for experienced competitive fencers ages 11 and older. Students must have active competition experience to participate. This class delivers high-level tactical training, live bouting, and competition preparation in an open group setting, bringing together the club’s most committed competitive fencers for an intensive Saturday session.
Open Bouting
Sunday · 2:00–3:30 PM · All ages · Supervisor TBD
Enrollment: Experienced fencers who can fence and referee a match
An open self-directed bouting session for experienced fencers of all ages. Participants must be capable of both fencing and refereeing a match independently. This session gives competitive fencers additional strip time and match experience outside of structured classes. No coaching instruction is provided — this is pure strip time.
