At SFC we offer several fencing programs that include a combination of private lessons, group classes, strip lessons, camps, open bouting and tournaments for different levels of skills and ages.

Youth & Beginner

Youth and beginner programs are designed to introduce you to the sport of fencing with basic fundamentals covering footwork, handwork, distance control as well as simple tactics and techniques.

Intermediate

intermediate-program

Fencers in the intermediate level must have general understanding of saber fencing and have mastered basic skill of blade work and footwork in the youth/beginner classes.

Elite

Accomplishment 1

Our Elite Training Program is for competitive fencers who want to bring their fencing to the highest possible level and are required to compete on national and international level.

This unique training opportunity will allow young fencers to learn directly from one of the top women’s sabre athletes in the United States, sharpen their skills, and train alongside other motivated female athletes.

🇺🇸 Golden performance in Bogotá.

SFC athlete Korina Leou delivered an outstanding performance at the Pan-American Championships in Bogotá, Colombia, capturing the Individual Gold Medal in Junior Women’s Sabre.

Competing against the top fencers from across the Americas, Korina showed remarkable composure, precision, and determination on her way to the top of the podium.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and excited for what’s ahead.

Our fencer has been training with Coach Achiko for 6 years and we couldn’t be happier with Scarsdale Fencing Center. The facilities, staff, and fencing community of parents and families is wonderful! The club itself is modern and easy to access by car (and metronorth, which is great for older students who can travel alone). Coaches Achiko and Maksim are top-notch and provide excellent coaching during private lessons and at tournaments. Their holiday camps and group classes are a great for beginners and elite fencers alike. The club is welcoming of all fencers and the coaches take pride in supporting each individual fencer to be their best.

Scarsdale Fencing Center is a wonderful place for both beginners as well as advanced fencers to learn and further develop their love for fencing in a nurturing and welcoming community. Scarsdale Fencing Club is new and elegant, but this club is special because of the people; the coaches and the community. With compassion, coaches Achiko and Maxim guide fencers to be at their highest level. The coaches emphasize discipline and diligence, and inspire fencers to love the sport. The community - both fencers and parents - is wonderful. Our boys have formed a strong bond with other fencers, who are incredibly supportive and caring. The parents are very helpful, and our family is absolutely thrilled to be part of this club.

Scarsdale Fencing Center is a top notch fencing academy dedicated to saber. Location is accessible from NYC by train and there’s parking aswll if you’re driving. Coach Achiko and Coach Maksim truly care about their students and development. My daughter has been with Coach Achiko for a few years now and we travel between NYC and Scarsdale just to see him! He cares deeply about his students and is extremely communicative with parents. He goes out of his way to make busy schedules work so that students get his time. We have full trust in the teaching and coaching at Scarsdale Fencing Center and LOVE the coaches!

My daughter started earlier this year, and she is having a lot of fun! Her coach Achiko is one of the best Saber coaches, and the other SFC coaches are also outstanding.

All the coaches are experienced and great with kids who may be shy or anxious about starting a new sport.
